Full Time – 30 – 40 hours per week -Including weekends

British Garden Centres is a well-known large UK retailer known for its high-quality customer service, plants, and restaurants. As a growing family business, we are driven to provide a high-quality experience throughout all our restaurants.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to come and join our friendly restaurant at Pulborough Garden Centre. This full-time role is vital role for ensuring dishes are served on time with food cooked to the highest standards. You will also have the opportunity to develop specials and be creative to attract new customers.

Skills required:

Experience of working in a busy kitchen
Creative at making dishes but also able to work to specs
Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage
Knowledge of HACCP
Able to manage multiple orders
Professionalism and reliability
Remain calm under pressure
Good time management
Level 3 basic food hygiene is an advantage

Duties include:

The taking of deliveries
Food preparation
Producing specials
Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard
Monitor portion size and waste
