A giant canvas...

The front of a house is a pretty big blank canvas, so you’ll want some equally big decorations to fill it with!

If you’re lighting up the front of your house this Christmas, the first thing you’ll want to do is add lights around the edge of your walls, roof, or windows.

At up to 60m long, String Lights are great for covering big areas like houses, trees, walls or bushes.

Want even more impact?

Our Tree Lights contain up to 4 times more LEDs per metre than other brands, and are up to 50m long for a truly mesmerising display.

The bigger the better

Once you’ve created a beautiful frame for your house with string lights, it’s time to fill in the rest of the canvas!

We used a selection of these stunning light-up silhouettes to illuminate the front of our house.

Available in a range of festive designs, and a huge 60cm wide, they'll make your home the envy of your neighbours...

Fill it with fun

The best Christmas displays strike the perfect balance between style and pure, childlike fun!

We made good use of acrylic characters to add personality to our display, from this fun santa figure to these cheeky gonk string lights.

Why not try and tell a bit of story by grouping a few different light-up characters together?

For maximum fun in our display, we also setup a giant inflatable Christmas tree, surrounded by presents.

Everyone loves inflatables, but they’re really expensive and hard to setup, right?

Wrong! Our Fern Christmas inflatables range is incredible value and includes absolutely everything you need to get started, from a blower to tethers and ground stakes.

Check out our range online and bring your outdoor display to life!

Tree-mendous

Christmas trees aren't just for inside!

The beauty of adding a tree or two to your outdoor display is you get the freedom to try out a totally different theme than what you've done inside.

We decorated both both real and artificial trees in our Christmas advert with all sorts of decorations, including this beautiful Giant Lit Red Bow and these gorgeous, flickering flame hot air balloons.

Looking for something quick, easy and elegant?

Our Branch Trees offer a sleek, minimalist look that looks great even without any decorations.

Available in a range of sizes, they’re fully weatherproof so perfect for use in an outdoor display.

Inside out...

The eagle eyed of you will have spotted that some of the lights are actually inside the house not outside…!

Placing lights and decorations on your windowsill is a great way to add personality to your display without having to get the ladder out, like we did with the fun infinity light characters above.

Another great idea for brightening up windows is hanging decorations and lights from curtain poles.

You’ll find all sorts of eye-catching hanging lights at your local British Garden Centre, including some designed specifically for using in windows.

Finishing touches

While we’ve covered the bigger things like inflatables and string lights, there’s plenty of smaller decorations you can use to bring your display to life.

First up is these magical candy cane stake lights. We placed them along the edge of the path leading up to the house to provide the most Christmassy of welcomes…

Next up is this charming ‘Santa Stop Here’ sign – perfect for placing at the very front of your garden to make sure it isn’t missed as Santa passes by!
