Full Time- 40 Hours Per Week-Including Weekends

We are currently looking for a Team Leader to work in our fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

Please note the successful candidate must be fully flexible in terms of days worked.  Management experience in retail is essential for this role. You will be responsible for the overall daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficiency and profitability.

Must be available to work weekends and bank holidays.

Skills required:

  • Experience in running a shop floor is essential.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Professionalism and reliability.
  • Good time management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the centre manager to maximize sales and profit by ensuring the efficient and effective management to Company standard, of the commerciality, merchandising, replenishment, and housekeeping across the Garden Centre.
  • Support Centre Manager in daily H&S tasks and paperwork, ensuring Health and Safety standards are always adhered to and maintained.
  • General ideas and assist in the development of even better methods of working within the department.
  • Help to achieve a high standard of customer service.
  • Assist when needed to plan and manage key events such as Christmas, Bank Holidays and season centre change effectively and efficiently.
  • Help to achieve a high standard of customer service.
  • Assist with complaints and queries from staff and customers.
